Jeff spent his free time as a homeschooled high schooler working part time jobs and creating commercial media assets for the largest indoor high ropes course in America – Group Dynamix at age 16. He then shot events, weddings, portraits and bands before really discovering commercial photography by shooting for around 80 local brands, businesses and restaurants.

With zero connections, he built a network of freelance Commercial Artists by cold-calling and e-mailing photographers and producers throughout North Texas and eventually other major markets across the U.S. during what would be his college years. Jeff freelanced as a Digital Tech and Lighting Assist for 5-dozen high end photographers with notable and national brands across virtually every niche; learning to light and plan imagery for any subject in any environment.

This diverse background and robust foundation enables Jeff to be an incredibly versatile asset in media production as most photographers only assisted a few others in one specific niche for a couple years.

His approach to crafting images is equal parts logistical and creative which effectively appeals to our emotions and ultimately drives impact for brands.

Jeff brings a high level of meticulousness, energy, straightforward communication and diverse commercial workflows to set, ensuring nothing is missed.

When I’m not running d9photos you can find me outdoors camping and exploring, shooting film with my Polaroid or various film SLR’s, learning about new tech, trying new restaurants, researching herbs, listening to Heather Elder’s Dear Art Producer and finding bars with old pool tables and massive burgers. Esoteric Philosophy also makes the list.
