E3 Learning Institute

Description
  • Posted 10 months ago

The E3 Learning Institute is a 501(c)(3) Texas nonprofit corporation founded in 2014. As stated in our organizing documents, our purpose is “to engage in research and dissemination of educational materials and courses (typically through online or live in service activities) to further learning best practices in industry; public and private schools, colleges, and universities.” Emphasis is on the words “best practices” – we have no interest at all in theory and certainly do not believe learners should be beta testers or involuntary experimental subjects.

We are different than the average research organization. Our founder brings 25 years of Fortune 10 organizational transition, transformation, and technology experience; a B.S. in Management, a M.Sc. in Management & Leadership, and a M.Ed. in Learning & Technology to the table. Our Board of Advisors consists of working teachers, technical experts, and other skilled professionals with an interest in leveraging technology to improve both the teaching and learning experience in “the business of education.”

Our motto, “Engage, Excite, Enable” represents our guiding principles, our measure of success, and our battle cry. We spend no time at all on the philosophy of glasses half full or half empty. In industry we say “just tell us whether you want the glass full or empty and stop analyzing – and agonizing about – the current state.” In education, the goal is to engage students and faculty in the process of learning, excite them about the possibilities as a result of learning, and then enable practicable use of the full glass of knowledge obtained. More than enough research is expended on “Why Johnny Can’t …” Those studies usually end with “… further research will be required to …” This ensures continuation of the glass half full or empty discussion as well as additional research grant dollars. This is not the e3 Learning Institute approach.

Our focus is exclusively on the “what, who, and how” of education.
