We utilize many open source tools and have learned from their implementations. Therefore, we owe a debt to the people who founded and contributed to the open source projects we value. We pay that debt back in a number of ways:

* Contribute time to open source projects
* Produce and maintain some purely open source tools and libraries with commercial-friendly licensing terms
* Dual-license our commercial libraries and developer tools so that open source projects can use them for free
* Our hosted offerings that provide infrastructure for software products or developer services include a generous free tier
